Just
like a virgin?
Surgeons restore hymens for cultural
reasons or tighten vagina walls for better sex or other surgeries are done for
self-satisfaction.
Women come and seek this type of surgery
when they feel less feminine and attractive.
There are no more reasons
for one to feel ashamed, since the "Intimate Plastic Surgery" corrects
dysfunctions and improves the woman's hidden aesthetics. It
is more common than one can imagine the concerns that the women have with the
aesthetic aspects of their genital organs. For instance, intimacy may be harmed
for the unsightly and non-functional aspects of big or inverted nipples.
For
every woman, it should be quite natural and pleasing to show the body to her companion.
But it does not always happen. And not only for physical imperfections. The aesthetic
discord of the genital organs also has its importance and it can even compromise
the functional and emotional performance of the woman, generating blockades, dissatisfactions
and promoting conflicts and indifference of both parties. It is important that
the patient feels comfortable to approach the problem with the surgeon and to
make technically appropriate decisions. Happily, the woman of our days is more
open. She speaks which more naturalness on what is inconveniencing her.
Mount of Venus
Objective is to correct the imperfections (distortions)
of "Mount of Venus".
* "Bulky" Mount
of Venus: The correction is made through liposuction. Does not require
internment. The surgery is accomplished with light sedation, and lasts approximately
30 minutes. The recovery is immediate.
*
Atrophied Mount of Venus:
The correction is made through the injection of fat in the atrophied areas with
patient's own fat. This surgical procedure is accomplished with local anesthesia
and light sedation, and lasts approximately one hour. Sexual relationships are
advisable only after thirty days.
Labioplasty
Seeks the correction of the "Labias Minoris" (Inner Lips) or "Labias
Majoris" (Outer Lips).
*
Enlarged "Labias Minoris":
The correction is accomplished through a simple removal of the "excesses"
of the inner lips. The cutaneous excess is removed and the area is sutured, to
reconstitute it. The anesthesia is local with sedation. This surgical procedure
is accomplished in approximately 30 minutes.
In the postoperative period
the patient needs 2 days of rest at home, and is recovered in 10 days. Physical
effort should be avoided for 15 days and sexual relationships for 30 days.
*
"Labias Majoris"( Outer Lips):
The more usual aesthetic disharmony consists of outer lips that are withered,
flaccid, or reduced in size. The correction consists of the injection of fat in
the affected area with the patient's own fat or with synthetic substances compatible
with the patient. The anesthesia, the time of surgery, and the postoperative recuperation
are the same as those for the corrections of the labias minoris.
"Withred"
(Premature aging) and/or "Fallen" (Ptosis) Vulva
This
treatment aims at the anatomical and aesthetic recovery of the vulva. This is
a very common problem in mature women, causing embarrassment for the anesthetic
aspect. The correction is made through placement of patient's own fat, restoring
the volume of the vulva and promoting the recuperation of the area. The procedure
is done with local anesthesia and sedation and the return to normal activities
can be immediate.
"Fall"
(ptose) of the vulva happens due to the cutaneous flabbiness in the area of the
pelvis, observed mainly in patients that suffered abrupt weigh loss, successive
pregnancies or simply aging. The treatment consists of the removal of a skin strip
in the lower abdomen, promoting the suspension of the vulva ("lifting of
vulva"), with rejuvenation of the treated area. These procedures can be accomplished
with local anesthesia and sedation and the return to normal activities can be
after one week.
Vaginal
rejuvenation, or tightening
Primarily, this ambulatory local anesthesia
procedure is addressed to women who have lost some tone after giving birth. Tightening
the vagina could significantly increase a woman's pleasure, that's why women seek
this type of surgery. In the postoperative period the patient needs 2 days of
rest at home, and is recovered in 10 days. Physical effort should be avoided for
15 days and sexual relationships for 30 days.
My
Feelings about Women
Since many years I have been practicing with women. In this Issue, women talk
to you not only about their interest in Plastic Surgery but more rapidly you become
their counselor regarding many fields including psychological and psycho-sexual
issues. Gynecologic Plastic surgery involve very intimate areas of a woman's body.
My allopathic medical knowledge comes from training, reading and practicing
but my knowledge of WOMEN comes from years of listening, seeing, communicating
with, enjoying, exasperating... and eventually understanding women.
Above
all, I think women want to be LISTENED to, to be respected, have their intuition
understood and to participate in the decision making process surrounding their
health care.
